Ron Desantis in “Suckered”

It was a box office flop when it was released in 1984, but the mostly forgotten romantic comedy entitled Suckered, was a young Ron Desantis’ first step toward stardom.

Ironically produced by Disney, Suckered is the heartwarming story of a down his luck door-to-door vacuum salesman, looking for love in all the wrong places.

Until he takes it too far, and gets more than he bargained for…

Some say this movie was never released on DVD because of an alleged contractual dispute (which is thought to be the root of his animosity toward the company), and no digital copies exist today.

But we managed to dub these frames from a VHS player we managed to recover from an old Blockbuster video that was being demolished, and we think you’ll agree they are amazing.
