The First AI Ever Created
The first AI ever created was a child of the Industrial Revolution. Made in 1808 — of all mechanical parts — it was based on a variation of the technology behind the Jacquard loom. It required instructions to be fed in via punchcard, and a human “computer” to act as operator. Her name was Agnes.
Industrialists soon realized they could use this device to track and predict the meta-patterns on their production lines…
